Thoughts About Life

December 12, 2018

My favorite photo from Colorado^

A list from me to you:

  • Interacting with people is exhausting.   But this also applies to you, remember that.

  • There is a fine line between word choice and tone. Pay attention

  • Maybe instead of saying you put me in a lousy mood say I let your actions affect me and I’m not letting go of it.

  • To further this point, consider why their actions/words have such an impact on you.

  • Perhaps instead of taking negative comments from people close to you personally. Why don’t we instead listen, evaluate and recognize the situation.  Look at yourself from afar.

  • ***TELL PEOPLE THE INTIMATE SECRETS YOU KEEP INSIDE YOUR HEAD AND YOUR HEART. TIME IS SHORT, BUT A PASSING MOMENT MOVES EVEN QUICKER.

  • Use your imagination daily, but don’t jump to conclusions like Lady Gaga at the super bowl. There is a difference.

  • Pick your family wisely.

  • Try everything at least once, unless you have severe disease or illness, like a heart murmur, then check yourself first.

  • You can go to a medical professional and still believe homeopathic alternatives work. They aren’t mutually exclusive.

  • Get outside as often as possible.

  • Don’t be quick to trust.

  • READ THIS ONE: DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.  FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS TRUE, DO NOT READ/WATCH/ASSUME ANYTHING AS FACT WITHOUT DOING QUALITYRESEARCH FIRST.  ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE AND CONFIRMATION BIAS NEED TO GO.

  • Put the phone down for and pick up something else tangible and more meaningful.

  • Don’t be scared of rejections, view it more as “thank u, next.”

  • Always strive to be kind but know sometimes that isn’t an option.

  • DON’Tskimp on mental health.

  • Just shut your mouth for a minute.

  • Share space with others and then live alone.  You’ll learn to appreciate them, and you.

  • Stop chewing with your mouth open. For those that need an example, you seal your lips when eating popcorn.

  • If I were religious, I’d say the devil made popcorn.

  • Eat real cocoa not that Hershey’s bullshit.

  • Wake up early and have a slow morning before the day.

  • All drinks taste better in a glass.

  • Shower less to let your body breath. Cook for others and run your toes through the grass.

  • Bake for yourself first, because you have to make sure it’s good

  • Drink less. Way less.

  • Have savory and sweet breakfast weekends — one for each day.

  • It is confusing that mass media markets “you’re unique” and “you’re never the only one” simultaneously.

  • Say hello to those you don’t know. It’s not just a Midwest thing. Don’t at me.

  • Sit in the dark and silence. You’ll learn a thing or two
